Ultrafast Photoinduced Dynamics in Organic Optoelectronic Molecules and Nano-Materials
We are an ultrafast spectroscopy research group exploring how light interacts with advanced functional molecules and nano-materials, with a primary focus on solar energy conversion and light-emitting technologies. Our goal is to understand the fundamental molecular processes that occur immediately after light absorption, such as energy flow, charge separation, and excited-state relaxation—key steps that ultimately determine the efficiency and performance of optoelectronic devices.
To capture these extremely fast events, which unfold on femtosecond (billionth of millionth of a second) timescales, we develop and apply cutting-edge ultrafast laser spectroscopy techniques. By uncovering the mechanisms of light harvesting, charge transport, and emission, our research provides critical insights for the design of next-generation sustainable solar materials, high-efficiency OLED emitters, and other emerging photonic technologies.
